Self-Build Expert: David Snell

David Snell, a self-build expert, presents seminars and provides expert advice to visitors on their self-build projects at the Homebuilding & Renovating Shows.
David has been in the property and building industry since 1962. He first built his own home in 1971 for him and Mrs Snell to get married into. Since then they have completed ten self builds or major renovations.
Following the death of his friend and colleague, the self build author Murray Armor in 1998, David took over his titles and has written the last three editions of 'Building Your Own Home'.
David is now the acknowledged expert in the self build field and is well known for his many articles and for his appearances on the seminar platforms at self build exhibitions and courses.
He is contributing editor to Homebuilding & Renovating magazine, a consultant to Buildstore and the BBC and The Daily Telegraph's 'bricks & mortar' expert and columnist in their regular Saturday property section.
