It’s Monday morning and we’re all trying to stay awake after a long and busy weekend at the Northern Homebuilding and Renovating Show.

The show passed off rather seamlessly, which was a relief after last year’s show was rudely interrupted by a fire alarm in one of the catering outlets! Having said that, we did encounter a slight problem with one of our printers in the main registration area, which was solved in time honoured fashion by switching it off and back on again!

A 2 minute silence at 11am on Remembrance Sunday was impeccably observed.

Visitor numbers were higher than last year and we had everyone from your seasoned self builders to those starting out for the first time and everything in between.

It was great to see Restoration and Beyond launch their new website and Yorkbuilder undertaking a building demonstration of a chimney breast on their stand.

Luckily the majority of the team are back in the office but our Operations Team are still at the venue overseeing the dismantling of exhibitor stands and taking down all the signage dotted outside the Harrogate International Centre.

And so what’s next for us? The South West Homebuilding & Renovating Show, where we, and a large number of our exhibitors, do this all again.
