I had really hoped that the Frame would be delivered on Monday 7th December but it’s now apparent this won’t be going ahead.
And here is why
1. The Mortgage lender have really dragged their feet releasing the next stage of money and it only arrived today.
2. The local council will not permit the use of a crane during school term time, because it will be necessary for the crane to block one lane of traffic. The girls school opposite has about 20 coaches that drop off and collect the children daily.
3. Maple Timber frame are behind schedule on other projects because cranes have been unable to operate in the recent high winds.
I really want to get the frame up before Christmas but I a bit concerned it won’t happen because the timber frame factory closes on Friday 18t. The Schools don’t break up until lunch time on the 17th for the girls and the 18th for Hampton Boys and the Community College. I was hoping to spend some time at Christmas inside the house working out where to put power sockets and lighting. I will find out today if the frame erectors will be working on 21st and 22nd December. Fingers crossed.
